The banks of the Auglaize River were eroding along Washington Ave. between Second
and Fort Streets. In order to prevent this erosion, the City of Defiance hired Anderzack-Pitzen
Construction, Inc. to install approximately 7,000 tons of rip-rap to stabilize the
banks. The area stabilized was approximately 800 lineal feet in length. All work
was performed from the access road adjacent to the river.
